6. Blue (2009)

The Akshay Kumar - Sanjay Dutt starrer Blue became immensely hyped during it’s time. Being of the biggest on budget Diwali releases, it shouldered 80 crores. But it tanked at the BO earning only around 30 crores net.


5. Kites (2010)

The Hrithik Roshan - Barbara Mori starrer big budget movie Kites got washed out at the Box Office. The Anurag Basu directorial, made on a budget of 82 crores, the film started off on a good note, but soon tanked at the BO. The film only managed to earn around 48 crores net at the BO.

4. Raavan (2010)

Directed by ace director Mani Ratnam, the Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai starrer Raavan was shot on a massive scale. The big budget of 55 crores got vested and the film just earned around 29 crores net at the BO.

3. Guzaarish (2010)

2010 proved to be a year of big losses. After Kites, Hrithik again failed at the BO with the Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial Guzaarish which was shot on budget of 75 crores. Though it gained a lot of critical acclaim, the film earned less than 30 crores net at the BO.

2. Ra. One (2011)

SRK and flops are not synonymous. But Ra. One ran high on expectations, and the actor spent on some major chunk of money in producing the sci fi Ra. One. It flopped badly and minted around 110 crores net at the box office. It was made on a 175 crore budget.

The Anurag Kashyap directorial Bombay Velvet starring Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Karan Johar proved to be one of the biggest flops in the history of Bollywood. Made on a huge budget of 120 crores, it managed to earn only 23 crores net at the BO.
