We have finally got our final four who will be playing the playoffs of the IPL 2018. As in the final match before the playoffs Chennai Super Kings clinged a win against the Kings XI Punjab, the team now sits comfortably in the second spot.
The table is led by the mighty Sunrisers Hyderabad, followed by Chennai Super Kings, Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals. This is the ninth time CSK has made to the playoffs after two years of suspension.
Here we have discussed below how strong each team is and how much chances they each hold to lift up the prestigious IPL trophy in 2018 –
Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR)
The Dinesh Karthik led Kolkata Knight at present is at the third spot so the team need to win two two play-off matches in order to qualify for the final. The side initially struggled in the tournament, but with time has done exceptionally well to snatch the third spot in the standings.
The team has some blasting performers like Andrew Russell, Sunil Narine and some game-changers like Piyush Chawla and the captain himself.
Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH)
After David Warner was shown the exit door, Kane Williamson was made the captain. The Kiwi blaster has done pretty well to handle its side and topped the list. The Hyderabad team has performed all well throughout the IPL 2018, and with some top performers like B Kumar, Manish Pandey and the captain himself, the team has sailed successfully through the tournament.
Coming to the playoffs, the team will be getting a chance if they lose out to Chennai Super Kings in the playoffs. Again, if they perform well, they will go through to the finals straightaway.
Rajasthan Royals (RR)
After a number of dull seasons, the Rajasthan side has made to the playoffs. The new coach, Shane Warne has done pretty well to make the team strong enough to perform well in the tournament. Also, it was Shane Warne who led to a huge victory in the inaugural season of IPL on 2008.
Down the lane and coming to 2018, Rajasthan Royals stand a good chance to win the title this year. Ben Stokes have left for its English tour, but still the team has some big guns to make it to the finals.
Chennai Super Kings (CSK)
Coming to the star team, Chennai Super Kings and playoffs are a couple made in the heaven. It's the ninth time the Dhoni-led Chennai has made to the playoffs and the side has a good chance this time as well to clinch the title in 2018. The team has some big stalwarts like Shane Wayton, Du Plessis, Suresh Raina and the Captain Cool Dhoni himself.
The whole team has done pretty well all throughout the tournament to stand in the second spot. The team has some good chances to make it to the final straightaway.
So, Who Will Win?
All the four teams have earlier won the IPL at least once and each time has some great player and formation to give each other a clashing fight.
SRH and CSK both have won nine games each and it's going to be a bumper fight in the Qualifier 1. KKR will probably take over Rajasthan in the Eliminator. Aa far as title is concerned, CSK has a edge over KKR over RR. If KKR manages to take on SRH it will be a CSK-KKR final.
So, among our probables, it will be CSK or KKR, who can win the IPL 2018.
